An Art Dco fireplace in Gris d'Andenne marble, ca.1925, stood once in a Maison Maitre in Brussels. The Art Déco-period was short: 1920-1939. 'The Rouring Twenties'. This period evokes that moment when society was breaking with the past and racing towards the future. The style is characterized by color, geo-metric figures, zig-zag lines, stylized forms, modern artwork, designer lichting and furniture and hand crafted artwork.
