An Art Déco fireplace in Gris d'Andenne marble, ca.1925, stood once in a Maison Maitre in Brussels. The Art Déco-period was short: 1920-1939. 'The Rouring Twenties'. This period evokes that moment when society was breaking with the past and racing towards the future. The style is characterized by color, geo-metric figures, zig-zag lines, stylized forms, modern artwork, designer lichting and furniture and hand crafted artwork. We found seperated from this fireplace in the room, the two Art Déco bronzes. They can be easely replaced. Fireplace will be delivered with original, old marble floortiles to make a frontfloor.
