A very nice Art Déco fireplace in Gris d'Andenne marble, Belgium. Made during the 'Rouring Twenties", 1926. Art Déco (1920-1939) is characterized by color, geometric figures, zig-zag lines and stilized forms. It shows luxury in an artistic atmosphere. This period evokes that moment, when society was breaking with the past and racing towards the future. Photo's are taken before dismantling. Fireplace is cleaned now in my workshop.
