Beautiful antique Carrara-marble fireplace, found in a Maison Mâitre in Brussels. The Carrara marble, used for this mantle is the Statuary. It's soft-toned and no veins at all. Famous sculptors like Bernini and Michelangelo were only working with the Carrara Statuary. The jambs are decorated with flutes and small asparagus-heads. The endblocks are nicely carved with leaves of the oak-tree. This fireplace-surround will be delivered with original, old marble floortiles, to make a frontfloor. Also in stock: original foyer-tiles, only an option if you go for a real open fire. Note: photo's are taken before dismantling. Fireplace is in perfect condition and cleaned now in my workshop.
