An imposing, striking Empire II chimneypiece, named Pattes de Lion or Lions Paws. Nicely carved in subdued Carrara marble. This marble has a Statuary quality (no bleu or grey in it), which adds a distinct shine and warm raffinée. Fireplace was found in an important Maison Maître in Brussels. Comparing the execution of this Lions Paws fireplace to other ones: All the sculpture works on this fireplace are above average. Inclusiv an original bronze/ormolu, to mount to the frieze-center, if you like. Will be delivered with old Carrara- or Noir de Mazy frontfloor-tiles. We have also foyertiles-refractaire- in stock.
