This Napoléon III fireplace was made out of the highly valued Griotte marble and the blackest black marble Noir de Mazy, during the second part of the nineteenth century. (Napoléon III 1852-1871) The Napoléon III style is highly éclectic. This imposing fireplace stood once in an important Maison du Maitre in Quartier Laeken in Brussels. One photo shows this fireplace during the restoration, when it was on our 'intensive care'. This fireplace features various ornamentation, the pilaster-shaped jambs are crowned by ionic capitals and little bronzes. The Griotte marble is vividly-deep red with a taste of chocolat and famous for prestige and greater luxury. Fireplace will be delivered with old marble floortiles to finish a frontfloor, just like it was done in the past. Worldwide shipping. Delivery in Europe can be done by Antique Fireplaces First: 'In House Delivery'. We have little black bricks and décor foyer-tiles to finish the foyer, only needed if you go for a real open fire.
