This is an impressive Louis XV fireplace in Rococo-manner. Made out of a rare, soft-brown marble: 'Brun du Boulonge', from the west of France, where this fireplace once stood, in a 'Couvent'. Ca. 1775, the construction of the house. Not easy to find such an authentic, old and beautiful fireplace! The slightly curved frieze has a strong bollection and has a beautiful ornate flowered shell and a wide, rich foilage. Also decorated on the jambs. Will be delivered with old marble floortiles, the same as the fireplace, in combination with old Carrara tiles, to make a frontfloor. Photo's are taken before dismantling. Fireplace is cleaned now in my workshop. Always in stock: decor-foyertiles in Louis XV-style, to finish the foyer (or frontfloor as alternative for the marble, if you like, see photo). Worldwide shipping. Delivery in Europe can be done by Antique Fireplaces First: 'In House Delivery'.
