This Louis XV Rococo style fireplace-mantel dates from the late 19th century and is made out of the rare and delightful Bois Jourdan marble (France). The shaped, moulded shelf rests above a scrolled, panelled frieze, centered by a foliate a-symetric cartouche. (A-symetric is a bit more exceptional.) The tappering, angled and panelled jambs are supported on curved footblocks. The Bois Jourdan is a marble with striking soft grey background tones, with lots of white veins and some vivid red veins. Photo's are taken before dismantling. Fireplace is in perfect condition, no restorations or missing parts. Easy to re-install. Fireplace can be delivered with original, grey-black floortiles to make a frontfloor. We have also many different original foyer-tiles in stock. Worldwide shipping.
