A stately French, Louis XVI fireplace surround, made out of a very softly mottled Carrara marble. The double moulded shelf is resting over a decorated frieze, with a centered panel, depicting a ribbon tied garland with flowers. The Acanthine paterae endblocks are mounted above fluted jambs. Late 19th century. Fireplace will be delivered with original old marble floortiles to make a frontfloor.
