It's a cast-iron fireback of the type 'Kaschte-offe' or called 'Biwwel-offe (Bible-heard), because of the biblical decorations. These kind of firebacks were introduced in the 17th century and their use continued afterwards. They were mostly produced in the iron-foundries of the Dietrich family in Niederbronn and Zinswiller, in the north of the Alsace. The text below is unfortunately difficult to read complet. This fireback is depicting and refers to the two miracles of the prophet Elisha from the old testament.
