Indonesian historic (!) sculpture, Borobudur. Exceptional. Period ca.900-1000. "Bodhisatva". Made out of the vulcanic, dark-grey stone: Andersite. The Borobudur temple is an Unesco-qualified monument and it's almost impossible to find an original part of it. The Borobudur temple was for centuries a forgotten temple, overgrowen by trees.in a forest. In that period, many sculptures dissapeared.
