A fine Louis XVI fireplace from the late 19th century. Made out of the beautiful, soft colored and veined Belgian Rouge Royal. It stood from 1881 till 2021 in a maison maitre in Brussels, together with two other Louis XVI fireplaces, one is very similar to this one, but smaler. The shelf is resting above a wide fluting frieze, centered by a delicately carved floral cartouche in Carrara marble. The frieze is flanked by floral endblocks and the fluted jambs are sopported on plain footblocks. Because of the extra depth side-panels, this mantel can be also replaced as a surround, (mantel) if you like. This fireplace will be delivered with the showen cast-iron foyer-elements. Will be delivered also inclusiv old marble floortiles, to make a frontfloor. Note: Photo's are taken before dismantling, fireplace is cleaned now in my workshop and easy to re-install. No restorations or missing parts.
