A very elegant Louis XVI-style fireplace, crispy carved and made out of the striking Enjugerais marble. The moulded stepped shelf is resting above finely carved frieze with a central foliate Paterae. The Paterae endblocks are of the same Acanthus form and are supported by voluted, angled jambs. Each jamb is topped with tumbling carved Acanthus leaf-details. French, 19th century. A Louis XVI style fireplace would fit well with most modern room-designs. Fireplace is in perfect condition and easy to re-install.
