Elégant and very old Louis XVI fireplace, made out of Rémy marble, with Carrara décorations. The simply moulded shelf rests above a panelled frieze, depicting a floral-Acanthus paterae in the center. Flanked by Sunflowers on both endblocks, above panelled jambs. This fireplace is nicely aged by time and use. Construction-period of the house where it once stood: ca. 1780-1785. Namur-Belgium.
